我的研究，多半不是從「今天應該找什麼題目來發表」開始。

而是在臨床工作或手術中遇到一個問題：

「這件事情，有沒有更好的做法？」

接著思考如何改善，累積病例與資料，再利用系統性的分析驗證原本的想法。

對我而言，研究與臨床不是兩件分開的事情。

臨床遇到問題，研究提供一種把問題弄清楚的方法；而研究得到的答案，最後還是要回到患者身上。
